There is something about flags. Maybe it is the wanderlust they evoke, or the way they remind us of the broader world we are part of.
Flags serve as an international language. You can have a student who barely speaks English, and you can still bond over flags.
Flags are also a tool to practice country names in English.
Here’s a set of “chill” activities I use after a test or grueling lesson. Students gather in teams and compete.
