Many of my reluctant readers and writers tend to skim over the instructions in their assignments. This is a bad habit, especially during tests, where missing directions can lead to mistakes.

In the following task, I’ve hidden a “secret” statement within the instructions to test if students are truly reading them carefully. The statement reveals that the assignment is fake and tells students to touch their nose.

This silly activity has a serious purpose: read the instructions in your assignments closely, bruh!
