All I did was stare quietly. As I watched everyone condemn me. They kept reminding me of how loquacious I am. Is it wrong to be so cheerful? They kept reminding me of my flaws. Flaws I didn’t know mattered. Leaving me wondering if they forgot they had flaws too. My so called close friends stood there. Also making comments to support them . Then I left without looking back
I just couldn’t take it anymore. I let out a light chuckle, but deep down I was seething. I was done with his condescending attitude. Do I let him get away with it…again? No way. There’s no way I can let this happen again. No way in hell. Fists clenched, I stood up abruptly and yelled out his name, “Ike!” The office grew silent. All eyes were on me, including his. “I… I… You forgot your pen.” I said softly while handing it over to him. I sat right back down, disappointed at myself.
